Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School has many outstanding alumni whose lives reflect the pride of the School District and Community of Wisconsin Rapids. The Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School Alumni Wall of Fame wishes to annually recognize one or more distinguished alumni or friends of education to Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School. We believe members of the Wall of Fame are role models who can inspire our students to continue the tradition of excellence which defines the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln community.
To be considered as a candidate for the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School Alumni Wall of Fame, an alumnus must:

have graduated from Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School at least ten years prior to the nomination, or
-
served as a staff member of the School District of Wisconsin Rapids, or
-
have made significant contributions to his or her field and/or the community at large, exhibit outstanding leadership, character, and service to the community
-
have a record of outstanding achievement in his or her field, and
-
exemplify the attitude and code of conduct synonymous with the School District of Wisconsin Rapids.
This year's honorees will be announced at the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2024, and their pictures and names will be placed on permanent display at the high school in the newly renovated lobby debuting in January 2023.
CATEGORIES FOR INDUCTION
The following are categories in which individuals may be considered for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School Alumni Wall of Fame selection. This list is not exclusive, merely a list of potential categories in which people are considered. The LHS Alumni Wall of Fame is intended to recognize individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and accomplishments.

Medicine and Science – individuals who are healthcare professionals of high regard or distinction; scientists, professors, and researchers whose work or research has benefited humanity in an important way or who have added substantially to the body of human knowledge; recipients of distinguished awards in any field of scientific endeavor.

Business and Professional Services – individuals who are respected and successful business persons; officers, directors, CEOs, CFOs, or other leaders of noted corporations or businesses; admired entrepreneurs, legal professionals, and other service professionals.

Literature, Arts, and Entertainment – individuals who are renown in drama, theater, literature, music, or the arts; winners of prestigious literary, acting, music, entertainment, or artistic awards.

Humanitarian and Service – individuals who have rendered consistent and significant service to the local, state, national, or world communities.

Lifetime Recognition – individuals who may not have attained award status in his or her chosen field but whose life demonstrates high moral character and dignity, or who have demonstrated courage in overcoming extraordinary obstacles in life.

Students – Lincoln High High School graduates whose high-school achievements in athletics, academics, literature, arts, or other high school pursuit were singular and extraordinary.

Teacher, Administration, LHS/WRPS Supporter – individuals whose years of service to LHS and/or WRPS left a lasting impression or had a profound impact on Wisconsin Rapids schools and their students.
NOMINATION PROCESS
The process for making a nomination is as follows:

The application must be completed and signed by the person making the nomination or submitted online.

Nominations must be received by the Lincoln High School Principal by January 1st to be considered for that year’s induction class.

Nomination forms are available at the Wisconsin Rapids Central Office and online at the district’s website at www.wrps.org. Go to the high school link, click on "About", and click on “Alumni Wall of Fame.”

The nominator is asked to advise the nominee of his/her candidacy for the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School Alumni Wall of Fame. In addition, the candidate should be available to attend the Induction event scheduled during the graduation ceremony.
