WRPS acknowledges that volunteers make a valuable contribution to the educational process and that their involvement in the schools enhances and supports educational opportunities for students. We look forward to working cooperatively with you in assisting our staff and students in meeting our District Mission; Working together with home and community, we are dedicated to providing the best education for every student, enabling each to be a thoughtful, responsible, contributor to a changing world.
To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all volunteers must complete a volunteer application and undergo a criminal history records check (background check). All volunteers must be approved prior to volunteering in any capacity in the school, including but not limited to helping in the classroom and field trips. The deadline to submit your volunteer application is January 31. Exceptions will be made for volunteers that have just moved into the district and on a case by case basis.
Volunteer applications must be completed by following the link (volunteer application*) below and filling out the online application. Once the application is submitted you will receive email verification of the application status. *If you are a current WRPS staff member you DO NOT need to complete a background check.
Volunteer’s will need to reapply every three years. You will receive email notification when your application status is expiring.
