We believe a healthy, well-nourished child is better prepared to learn. Eating well can make a positive difference in a student’s ability to achieve in school. Either under nutrition or over nutrition during childhood can negatively affect a student’s behavior, school performance, and academic and social growth and development. Our goal is to provide nutritionally sound meals and healthy food choices that meet USDA guidelines and provide the key nutrients that students need for growth and development. Our district offers several USDA Child Nutrition Programs. These include the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, After School Snack Program, 4K and Early Childhood Special Milk Program, and Summer Feeding Program.
