Work Schedule

Work Year: All employees who are not employed on a twelve month basis, who have not been discharged or laid off, shall be employed the subsequent school year at the discretion of the Board; however, it is understood that employees may be subject to layoff at any time.
Workweek: The District will identify the workweek for each of the employee groups. The length of the workweek may vary with the positions.
Workday: The hours and days to be worked by each employee during the employee’s regular workweek shall be assigned at the discretion of the District in accordance with a schedule prepared by the Superintendent of Schools. This schedule may be revised from day to day by the Superintendent of Schools as the needs of the school system require.
Employees who work six (6) or more hours per day shall be given one (1) unpaid thirty (30) minute lunch break per shift. All employees who work seven (7) hours or more per day shall be given one (1) fifteen (15) minute rest break per shift in addition to one (1) unpaid thirty (30) minute lunch break per shift.
Work Assignments: Employees will be provided work assignments by their respective supervisor or director.
