The purpose of this office/clerical and aide support staff Employee Handbook is to provide clear and concise information on what a staff member working for the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools (WRPS) District (hereinafter referred to as “The District”) needs to know to be able to perform their job duties. The Handbook contains many guidelines and standards that are designed to assist the employee in understanding the rules of operation in the school District.
This office/clerical and aide support staff Employee Handbook is not intended to cover every situation or answer every question about WRPS operations. The contents of this Handbook are presented as a matter of information only. The language which appears in this Handbook is not intended to create, nor is it to be construed to constitute, a contract between the District and any one or all of its employees or a guarantee of continued employment. Only the Board has the authority to approve any employment contract. Employment is at-will, the employee or employer can terminate employment at any time. The District reserves the right to modify, revoke, suspend, terminate, or change any or all items contained in this Handbook, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice.
It is important that each employee is aware of the policies and procedures related to his/her position. The rights and obligations of all employees are governed by all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited by enumeration to the following: federal laws and regulations, the laws of the State of Wisconsin, Wisconsin State Administrative Code and the policies of the WRPS Board of Education (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”).
In the event of discrepancy or dispute with any language as set forth in this Handbook, The District has final authority regarding language interpretation on all Handbook content.
