The District may supply an employee with equipment or supplies to assist the employee in performing his/her job duties. All employees are expected to show reasonable care for any equipment issued and to take precautions against theft. At the beginning of the school year, it is important for teachers to check all school property in their classrooms and/or work areas for which they are responsible. Missing or damaged items are to be reported to the building administrator. Prior to teacher check-out at the close of the school year, items such as inventories, class record books, keys, and other such materials will be submitted to the administrator as requested.
Teachers are responsible for all books and supplies provided for the use of pupils and shall see that the furniture, apparatus, maps, books, technology equipment and all other supplies or equipment are not defaced or damaged.
Employees cannot use WRPS property or equipment for personal use or gain. Any equipment, unused supplies, records, documents, intellectual property, electronic passwords, and keys issued must be returned to the District prior to the employee’s last day of employment.
