A six-week parent training program designed by the Love and Logic® Institute
Would you like to feel more confident as a parent?
Would you like to have more fun parenting?
Would you like to feel more relaxed at the end of the day?
Answers to questions like:
- “How do I get them out of bed in time to catch the bus?”
- “How can I stop my children from bickering and fighting?”
- “How do I get my children to help with the chores without an argument?”
- “Is there a way to discipline my toddler in public without creating a scene?”
- “How can I get my teenage daughter to come home at the agreed-upon time?”
- “How do I get him to stop spitting his peas and whining at dinner?”
And many other day-to-day frustrations.
This course in parenting is designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately.
Dates: Mondays, beginning April 10th and ending May 15th
Location: Pitsch - Check in to the main office
Facilitators: WRPS school social workers - Barb Bondioli, Rachel Sheets, and Tessa Gruszynski
Children ages 6 and older can attend Boys & Girls Club free of charge during the parenting class.

March is Youth Art Month!!!
Let’s celebrate by going to the KidzArt Exhibit at McMillan Library. The show features Elementary (K – 5) student artwork from all of the schools in the Wisconsin Rapids Public school district. The artwork will be on display from March 2 – April 7 , 2017. Everyone is invited to a reception on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. I hope you have a chance to see all of the artwork created by all of the talented students throughout the district during the month of March.
This year three students from Woodside had their artwork selected to be a part of the Wisconsin Art Education’s Regional Youth Art Month Show held at New Visions Gallery in the Marshfield Clinic from February 13 - 24, 2017. The students whose work was selected are: Piper Rosenthal– 1st grade, Emma Minor – 4th grade and Dominic Dambruch – 5th grade. Their artwork was also selected to go from the Regional show to the State Show in Madison! The artwork at the State Capitol will be on display from March 18 – March 31, 2017 with a celebration at noon on March 31st at the State Capitol.
Two students from Woodside also have their artwork displayed at the 40th Annual Student Art Exhibition at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau from February 25 – April 2, 2017. They are: Aiden Huser and Nicholas Sach both 5th grade students.
