Hello and welcome to Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools! I am very grateful to be a part of this outstanding community and always enjoy the excitement that each new school year brings. I have been involved in public education for the past 22 years holding a variety of positions, and couldn’t ask for a better field to work in when considering the impact public education has to help kids learn and reach their full potential.
WRPS has a solid foundation of strong academic and co-curricular programming, and I am proud to have my own kids excelling as a result of the well-rounded experiences they are receiving here. Our school district has many successes to celebrate- from individual staff member accomplishments such as Kohl Fellowship awards and Principal or Teacher of the Year recognitions, community partnerships cultivated that help enhance programming and expand opportunities for kids, and countless student milestones and achievements gained throughout the year!
I also couldn’t be more proud of the on-going community support of WRPS schools as demonstrated through the recent passage of two referendum questions. The capital referendum funding provides the dollars needed to make important updates to our facilities to enhance learning spaces and improve school safety and security. The operational funding will ensure that technology and curriculum are regularly updated to provide cutting edge resources and tools to best support student learning and engagement which ultimately prepares them well for whatever career path they choose after graduation.
While there will always be challenges facing our schools, I believe the partnerships we continue to form with parents and families as well as various organizations and businesses throughout our community will help us rise above and overcome any adversities.
If you have questions about any aspect of WRPS, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Craig G. Broeren
