“Passport to the World” - Fourth Annual 3rd Grade Project
Lincoln High School was recently transformed into France, Germany, Japan, and Mexico when approximately 50 third graders from the WRPS district took part in the fourth annual “Passport to the World” event. Board Action Changes District Structure
Beginning In 2010-2011
The Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools is faced with a $2 million shortfall for the 2010-11 budget year. The Board of Education took action on February 11, 2010, to approve recommendations to reduce the 2010-11 District budget. While not all recommendations have been acted upon, significant reductions will be made through a restructuring plan. Continue

Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools School Performance Report
According to Wis. Stat. §115.38, school districts are required to publish a School Performance Report for the parents and guardians of their students by May 1of each year.Additionally, school districts are required by January 1 of each year to notify the parent or guardian of each pupil enrolled of their right to request a paper copy of the School Performance Report. WRPS is participating in launching a new Community Notification Service called “Nixle” to improve communication with people who live, work, and visit our area. Along with WRPS, several other local government agencies and schools throughout Wood County are participating. Continue
