WRPS Transportation
The District contracts with two private bus companies, Safe-Way Bus Transit, Inc., and Lamers Bus Lines, Inc., for transportation service for more than 3,000 students annually.
Students are eligible to receive transportation services from their normal school of attendance based on their address if they live 2 miles or more from school.
If school bus capacity is available, the superintendent may shorten walking distances mandated by state law, starting with the students living furthest from school.
Students also qualify if their residence is in an area the school district deemed an "unusual hazard."
Contact the District office at 715-424-6700 if you have any questions.
Pay to Ride
Parents of students not eligible based upon their location from school and who do not reside in an area deemed hazardous for purposes of transportation are responsible for transportation unless available through the District “Parent-Pay” program.
