2026 - 2027 School Year 4K Registration

Welcome to 4K! We are excited to offer both half-day and full-day 4K options, with full-day spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

👉 4K WRPS Early Learning registration for the 2026 - 2027 school year will open at 8:00am on February 2, 2026.

Know Ahead

Registration takes place online through Skyward Family Access.
Students must be 4 years-old on or before September 1, 2026 in order to be enrolled in 4K Early Learning for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
There is no early entrance into 4K.
Before beginning the online enrollment process, please take a moment to review the 4K Early Learning Sites & Session Times.
Acceptance into the Head Start 4K program will be communicated directly to families by Head Start in July.

Open Enrollment for 4K

If you live outside the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District and would like to Open Enroll to the Wisconsin Rapids School District, please start with this information about Open Enrollment. You will also need to complete one of the enrollments mentioned below in Skyward.

Bussing Eligibility

NOTE: To be eligible for busing, the student must live in the Wisconsin Rapids School District. If the student wishes to utilize district transportation (busing) to and from the 4K site, the student must attend a 4K site that lies within the transportation boundary of the address they will be bused to and from. For example: If the student will be bused to and/or from childcare, the student must attend a 4K site based on the childcare's address. If the student is not utilizing district transportation (self-transporting), students may be registered to attend any 4K site based on the available space.

PLEASE NOTE: Before the start of school ALL enrollments require address and birth verification. For convenience you may upload your address verification custody paperwork if needed, and birth verification. Or they can be brought into the Enrollment Center at 311 Lincoln St. Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494. You may also email to enrollment@wrps.net

If you are an existing family, with one or more students currently enrolled in the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District, please review the existing Family Enrollment tutorial and use your current Skyward Family Access login and password to complete the enrollment process.

Important to Know:

Select COMMUNITY 4K Sites as the Expected Grade Level. Failure to complete this step will delay the processing of your child's 4K enrollment.
4K enrollments will be processed in the order they are received. If enrollment is not completed fully, enrollments will be delayed. Site availability is limited at all 4K locations to ensure optimum student:teacher ratios.
Confirmation Emails/ParentSquare messages for those students registered will receive their confirmation by the end of April. Students enrolled in the 4K program for the 2026 - 2027 school year after April 1st will receive their confirmation 2-4 weeks after the District receives their 4K registration applications.
Head Start families will be notified in July.
