What is Virtual Programming at LHS?

The Lincoln Virtual School (LVS) offers students the option to learn in a semi self-paced environment with a customized education to support student goals. LHS students taking Virtual Classes can continue to participate in any combination of classes, school activities, extra-curriculars, and sports.  We use Imagine Learning's platform Imagine Edgenuity as the primary learning platform for the LHS Virtual Student.  Through the Edgenuity platform, LHS offers standards-based courses and monitors student performance and achievement.  These courses are monitored by LHS staff but are not directly taught by LHS staff members. Elective course offerings in our virtual program are limited. 

Application Deadlines & Process

• 2026-2027 Fall Term 1 Applications
  • Current LVS students must reapply by May 15, 2026.
  • New students to WRPS interested in LVS must apply by August 7, 2026
• 2026-2027 Winter Term 2 Applications
  • Applications are due by Thursday, October 30, 2026
• 2026-2027Spring Term 3 Applications
  • Applications are due by Friday, February 12, 2027

Please Note

• Applications submitted after the deadline date will be considered for the following term.
• Seniors are not allowed to enroll in LVS for the first time once their Senior year begins.
• New enrollments will generally receive a blended schedule (courses in building and online) until the student shows academic progress and success in the virtual setting.
• Due to limited staffing, students may be wait-listed for an opening upon application.  We are limited to approximately 175-course enrollments per term in the LVS program.  This is equivalent to about 43 full-time LVS students.
• Students must reside within the physical boundaries of the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools.
