English Language Arts
Students who are gifted in ELA usually enjoy reading a variety of materials. They may also demonstrate verbal, analytical, persistent, and creative behaviors. May frequently talk about adult issues, ask many questions, and have a lot of knowledge on a broad span of topics. Students may retain information easily, master reading skills quickly, and they may also have strong math skills.
Mathematics
Students may ask intelligent questions in class. They are able to solve problems which are of a higher standard and show originality in solving problems. Students might also possesses a good power of imagination, thinking and reasoning. Your student may have an inept ability to notice patterns. Mathematically gifted students are able to see relationships among topics, concepts, and ideas without intervention or formal instruction.

Science
Students who are gifted in scientific fields often display an serious level of curiosity in science, and has an extensive knowledge base of general science topics. Students may also like to experiment. They also may completely engross themselves into learning or working towards acquiring new skills. Students may also show impressive critical judgment and motivation.
Social Studies
Students may have a "grown up" view of the world. They show extensive knowledge of places, cultures, and events around the world. Students may also make inferences on how the world works. Students may also show an advanced ability in creativity, decision making, communicating, collaborating, and problem solving. They may also have a serious knowledge of historical and current events. Students may also have informed, thoughtful moral or civic virtues.
