Mock Trial

About Our Mock Trial Program

Mock trial is an extracurricular activity where students perform the
role of an attorney or witness in a hypothetical court case. Students
prepare the case from both the plaintiff's and the defense's
perspectives. The mock trial team competes in the regional
tournament at a courthouse in February against other mock trial teams
from Central Wisconsin and can even earn a trip to state in March.
Teams range from six to 12 people. Mock trial provides students with a
great experience with the law, especially in the courtroom setting. In
addition to learning about the law, students will also improve their
critical thinking, speaking, and performance skills. The season starts in
October with weekly after-school meetings.
