Continuing Athletics after High School

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit association of 1,281 institutions, conferences, organizations and individuals that organizes the athletic programs of many colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.

NCAA Graduating Criteria

It is your responsibility to know if your student is NCAA eligible. If you have questions please contact your students' school counselor OR visit the NCAA eligibility Website. 

Core Courses

Both Division I and Division II requires 16 core courses. Division I require 10 core courses to be completed prior to the seventh semesters. 

Test Scores

Division I use a sliding scale ot match test scores and core grade - point average. Division II requires a minimum SAT score of 820 or and ACT sum score of 68.

Grade Point Average

Division I GPA required to receive athletics aid and practice is 2.000, to be eligible for competition is 2.3000. Division II core GPA requirement is a minimum of 2.000.
