About The DECA Program
DECA is a career and technical student organization that prepares emerging leaders and
entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges
around the globe. DECA is a rewarding and exciting organization that offers students many
opportunities to develop future career skills. Members participate in leadership labs, district,
state, and international competitions, community service events, field trips, and several social
activities. DECA members take field trips to Lambeau Field for a stadium tour, Miller Park for a
stadium tour and baseball game, various Wisconsin Dells attractions for leadership labs, the
Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva for the State Career Development Conference,
and cities such as Orlando, Anaheim, Nashville, and Atlanta for the International Career
Development Conference. DECA members are also responsible for Raider Card sales, a
Pumpkin Painting and Pizza Party, Trick-or-Can on Halloween for the local food pantry,
Sportainment Night, the Dodgeball Classic, and various other community service projects.
DECA is open to everyone and is an extension of both Marketing and Business Education
classes offered at Lincoln High School. DECA can help you set goals, enhance leadership skills,
compete successfully, problem-solve, find a career direction, and build a large social network.
It will be useful on the job now and in the future. DECA advisors include Mr. Davis and Ms.
