Putting in work in the offseason is just as important as showing up to practice during the season. Because of this, we have put together the Wisconsin Rapids Raider Fit Program. The goal of this program is to develop both physically and mentally into better soccer players. The program is split up into 2 sections; the physical fitness program and the soccer intelligence program. The physical fitness program gets tougher as the summer progresses and aims to get players to mid season fitness levels before the season starts. The soccer intelligence program aims to teach players to read the game and develop smart soccer habits. If you have any questions about the Raider Fit Program at any time, please feel free to reach out to our coaching staff.
The Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders Soccer team was founded in 1981, making it one of the oldest continuously running teams in Wisconsin. The team has played in the Woodland Conference, the North Central Conference, and the Wisconsin Valley Soccer Conference. The boy's soccer program has been a part of the WVC since 1991 and is the first team to win the conference 10 times. The team has been to the WIAA state tournament 6 times and has won multiple regional and sectional championships. Since its first season, the team has had over 180 all conference players including 6 WVC players of the years, more than 80 first team all conference recipients, more than 30 third team all conference recipients, and over 60 honorable mentions. Every time the team steps onto the field, they look to carry this legacy into the future.
