E-Learning on Inclement Weather Days

E-Learning Day Expectations for Students

We have 2 built-in inclement weather days.  After these days are “used up,” we will move to “E-Learning” on future inclement weather days.  This will allow us to not extend our school year further into June.  

The expectation is that students will sign into Canvas to complete activities and work assigned in their Canvas courses. Teachers will have the activities and work for the day posted on their Virtual Learning Day page by 7:25a.m. Each course has a button that links to their Virtual Learning Day page on the course's homepage.

Between 7:25 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., students should go into each course to be sure that they understand the expectations for the day's activities and assignments. In the event that students have questions about the content or expectations, students can send email messages to their teachers. They can also join the Google Meet or Zoom meeting for the course in which they need additional support. The times to meet for the core subject area courses are listed below. Links to join meetings with their teachers will be posted in Canvas.

• If a Chromebook is left at school, students should download the Canvas Student App in their phone’s app store.  This will allow students to gain access to all course materials.
• Signing into Canvas to complete activities and assigned content is required for all classes. 

The hours for the virtual meetings for the core subjects are listed below. For a detailed schedule and links to meetings, students must sign into Canvas. In the RPT course, click on the link to Virtual Learning Days button to access the full schedule.
