Mead PTC - Parent Teacher Committee
Every Mead School parent is a member of the PTC. The committee consists of parents and Mead staff. The goal of the PTC is to support school activities. They do this through fundraising, volunteering, and providing valuable resources. PTC projects include supporting a variety of health screenings, supporting classroom materials and field trips, providing playground equipment, and providing entertaining and learning experiences. The PTC supports two scholarships each year to support graduating high school students who were former Mead School students.
Meetings will take place in the Mead School library on the third Monday of each month from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
Family Room
The Mead School Family Room is open to all Mead families. The Family Room is a resource room with a free lending library that includes games, toys, and other resources for check out. The Family Room coordinator and parents work together to plan a variety of activities each year to support Mead. These include holiday parties, Family Appreciation, and a Family Field Trip to Wisconsin Dells. The Family Room is a place for parents to connect with each other and have a safe and fun place for their young children to play and learn. A free preschool program takes place in the Family Room. Books for Babes is held each Monday from 9:30 to 11:00. Children and parents attend together for quality time in a fun atmosphere.
The Family Room is also the volunteer connection for teachers and parents. Our Parent Partnership Coordinator Becky Winter is the contact person for all Family Room activities.
