Teacher - Social Studies Email Phone: (715) 424-6740 Howdy,
As of September 2021, this is my 28th year teaching in the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District. I've taught a couple different classes and grade levels over the years, but am fortunate to still be teaching my passion, Eastern Hemisphere history & cultures to 7th graders. Yes, I still love that crazy age. It keeps me young at heart. I've been at WRAMS (formerly West Junior High School) for all of these years and have been fortunate to have a strong bunch of colleagues throughout my time there.
I grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin. I attended Neenah High School and then went on to UW Oshkosh where I received a Bachelor's of Science degree with majors in both Broad Field Social Studies and History, as well as an emphasis in Geography. After teaching a few years here in WRPS, I went back to school and earned my Master's of Science in Educational Leadership.
I'm married to another teacher who teaches at Woodside Elementary. We have one daughter, a sophmore at LHS. As a family, we spend our free time together traveling, taking in live music, and visiting with friends and family. My daughter and I also love to spend time outdoors. Camping, kayaking, biking, skiing, and snowmobiling are our favorites.
As always, I'm looking forward to another exciting school year. You never know what the world will bring (we surely all know that after the past couple of school years!), but it's always an opportunity for the students and me to learn and grow together. I just know I'm always fired up and ready to hit the ground running!
