Students don’t need to feel alone when they are having trouble in a subject!
LHS students know they can find the help they need in the Reading Lab. Students simply stop in Room 230 and complete a form requesting a tutor or volunteering to be a tutor. Tutoring takes place several days a week during study hall, lunch, or before or after school.
Every semester over 100 students donate time and expertise to fellow students who need assistance. This volunteer time can be counted toward the LHS Volunteer Program.
Both study partners experience positive results from this one-on-one contact: improved grades, new friendships, a more positive attitude about school, confidence in a previously frustrating subject, and good feelings about themselves—just to list a few.
