Wellness Committee Adopts New Logo
The WRPS Wellness Committee has adopted a logo!  The logo was designed for the committee by LHS student Emma Bemis.  Emma worked diligently to design a logo that represents the committee's mission and long term commitment of encouraging a healthy mind and body for all District employees through awareness and education.  The Committee plans to use the logo for wellness communications, promotional information, letterhead, and on various incentive awards.   Many thanks to Emma and the entire WRPS Wellness Committee for all of their hard work this school year!

Renaissance Accelerated Math Certification

Grant School 6th Grade Teacher, David Keech, and his students have earned Renaissance Learning’s Model and Master Certification in Accelerated Math, the highest national honors for outstanding performance in education.

Model and Master Classroom certification indicates that Mr. Keech’s efforts to adopt Renaissance best classroom practices to a high degree have resulted in measurable improvements in class-wide student growth and performance over a minimum of one semester.

Renaissance Model Classroom certification is earned when an educator demonstrates that their students are maintaining high-quality practice for a minimum of 12 weeks.
To achieve Renaissance Master Classroom certification, an educator must demonstrate that students are maintaining high-quality practice for a minimum of 18 weeks. In addition, educators must be actively working with individual students to meet Renaissance-recommended standards and be helping each student work at the level that promotes the most growth.
In addition to national recognition, Mr. Keech will receive a certificate in recognition of this class-wide achievement, more opportunities for professional development, and other benefits to share with the class and school.

Congratulations, Mr. Keech and Grant School students!
