For how many consecutive days can I schedule an absence?
Up to 9. If you attempt any more than that, you will get an error message. Submit your leave in writing to your building administrator (email if you prefer). After it's approved at the building level, it will be forwarded to Human Resources for final approval.
What do I do if I receive a "Denied" response to an absence request?
If you receive this message, an absence has not been created for you and a sub will not be secured. Therefore, you should contact the person from which the "Denied" email originated for further information regarding the decision.
How will I be able to know how many days I have left of a particular absence reason?
On the web, choose “Absence Reason Balances”.
How do I know who is substituting for me?
On the web, go to “Absence History” to view the substitute. On the phone, “Review an Absence” option.
How do I add substitutes to my Preferred Substitute List?
On the web, go to “Preferred Substitutes”. Select those you wish to add to your list.
How do I exclude substitutes from seeing my absences to accept a job?
You are not allowed to do this. It is recommended that you complete the substitute performance feedback in AESOP and contact your building administrator.
What if there are subs that I’d rather not have in my class?
Aesop will make calls based on your Preference List first.
